What we would like to achieve
At the same time, we've committed ourselves as a company to be sustainable in order to achieve the greatest possible positive impact for people and the environment!
We do this in a variety of ways: we work with two tailor made companies (Mirto vzw and TWERK vzw), we have a broad range of charities as gift partners and we have set up specific partnerships with WeForest and FEESTvarken. In addition, our gift card and gift box bear the FSC label.
In short, we have put sustainability as a high priority on our agenda!

Kadonation wins Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 in the Digital Commerce category and finishes third in the overall ranking. This makes us the fastest growing Digital Commerce company in Belgium, or the third fastest growing company in Belgium overall. And how proud we are.
How it all started
Let's make a throwback to December 2014 to explain the beginning of Kadonation. Fabrice was in charge of collecting money for a friend's birthday gift. As usually back in the days, he had contacted everyone to collect money together so they could give one big gift. The money collection didn't go very smoothly: he had to advance payments, send out multiple reminders, gift selection stress... #fail. That's when the idea of a platform that makes it easy to collect money with friends, family and colleagues, was born. During his studies, Fabrice programmed the whole idea into a user-friendly platform, which was later given the name 'Kadonation'.

Opportunities to grow
In mid-2015, Kadonation enjoys six months of housing at start-up accelerator The Birdhouse, where the young company will be paired with experienced entrepreneurs who will act as mentors for the newly founded company. A first big step in Kadonation's development.
In 2016, Fabrice received support from iMinds and the student cooperative ARTEpreneur. Back then, ARTEpreneur was run by Jelle Van Roosbroeck and he was also the one who coached Fabrice. At one point Fabrice came with a proposal for Jelle: to become co-founder of Kadonation! Together they gave everything they had, the necessary capital was raised to really get started and on November 30, 2016 Kadonation officially saw the light of day!
In the beginning of 2017, Kadonation successfully completed its first major capital round and is now fully standing on its own two feet as a PLC. Several experienced entrepreneurs not only invest financially, but also make their knowledge and network available for Jelle & Fabrice.
Since December 2018, the versatile Kadonation gift voucher can also be purchased directly in a webshop, without having to collect money as a group. A hit apparently, also used for employee gifts as it turned out later. This was the start of the further exploration of the B2B market and Kadonation grows in all areas.
In 2021 Kadonation has become a well-known name in the world of employee gifts and the team already consists of 14 great members in Belgium, on top of that a developer in the Philippines, 3 in Ethiopia and a designer in Poland! The team will continue to grow this year, and as of April 2021 will start exploring the Dutch market with a local team in The Netherlands.
